Do I need a doctor’s referral?

You do not need to be referred by a doctor to see us at Hands On Therapy. You can call us directly to make an appointment.

Does insurance pay for treatment at Hands On Therapy?

Yes, if you have insurance coverage you will be covered for a portion of your appointment. Everyone with insurance is expected to pay their co-payment at the time service is rendered. These co-payments vary depending on your insurance company. The exceptions are Police and Prison Officers who are covered in full for up to 12 visits per calendar year.

What if I do not have insurance?

If you do not have insurance, you can still be seen at Hands On Therapy. You will be required to pay the full treatment cost. Payments can be made by cash, check, direct deposit, debit or credit card.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice for change or cancellation. If you are cancelling a Monday appointment we require you to cancel by 12:00 PM on Friday. If you are cancelling an appointment after a Public Holiday we require cancellation by 12:00 PM on the last working day prior to the holiday. In the event of a late cancellation or missed appointment, you are required to pay in full for the appointment since the time was allocated just for you.

What if I am late for my appointment?

We take pride at Hands On Therapy in maintaining a timely schedule. Each appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you are late you will have less time for your treatment which will finish on time to avoid inconveniencing other patients.

What is the duration of the appointments?

Appointments are booked for half an hour. You can request to be seen for a longer appointment time, however, there is an additional cost for this time.
